To begin, follow the link to a free 15-day trial of The Connector and click “Get It Now”.
Please read the terms & conditions and check the agree box. Click Install.
You should get a confirmation the installation completed.
Go to Setup → Customize → Accounts → Page Layout
Select the Page Layout that you would like to add access to FreshBooks
Using the enhanced page layout editor, select the “Visualforce Pages” link from the top left menu bar
Drag and drop a new section anywhere below the Account Information. Use the following as the section settings:
Save the page. Now navigate to any Account detail page (with a profile that is assigned to the page layout) you will see the FreshBooks Visualforce page.
After using the Connector, you can change the section or page settings, the above are only recommended settings.
Add the Visualforce pages by following the same steps above for the Contact and Opportunity page layouts.
Go to Setup→Create→Tabs and click the New button the Visualforce Tabs section and adjust the settings like so:
Click Next. Now choose which existing applications where you'd like to add the new tab and click Save. You can always change this setting later.
Before using the FreshBooks
API all users should set their
API information on the personal information page in Salesforce (Setup → My Personal Information → Personal Information).
